Theme:

A New Generation, Forming Leaders and Building Teams

The first YPD Exchange and Training Program took place in Bangkok and Chiang Mai, Thailand in August 2003.

We asked YPD participants to work on three objectives when they returned home:

a) To identify an action or actions that they would like to work in their home country and town

b) To build up a team of young people interested in working together for development

b) To build a network of young people working for development in our local areas, in our country and even internationally.

Over the next ten years we did indeed achieve these objectives, building YPD teams in many countries of Asia (Thailand, Malaysia, Cambodia, Vietnam, Iindonesia, Myanmar, Nepal...) as well as Australia and France.

Now, many of our first generation leaders have moved on and it is time to build a New YPD Generation, which is the theme of the YPD 2014 program in Malaysia.
